Privacy Policy

SharedCalendar ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by Jonas Hansen. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide our service:

• Account information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials when you create an account (via email/password or Sign in with Apple).
• Profile information: Optional profile photo or emoji avatar that you choose to set.
• Calendar data: Events you create within the app, and calendar data you choose to import from your iOS calendar.
• Group data: Groups you create or join, including member lists and group settings.
• Device tokens: Push notification tokens (FCM tokens) to deliver notifications to your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Provide the shared calendar functionality between group members.
• Send push notifications about new events, proposals, and group updates.
• Display your name and avatar to other members in your groups.
• Sync calendar data between SharedCalendar and your iOS calendar (when enabled by you).

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Profile photos are stored in Firebase Storage. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your calendar data and profile information are only visible to members of the groups you belong to.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication: For secure account management.
• Firebase Firestore: For data storage.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: For push notifications.
• Firebase Storage: For profile photo storage.
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs): For delivering push notifications.

6. iOS Calendar Access

If you choose to enable calendar sync, the app will request access to your iOS calendar. This data is only used to sync events between your iOS calendar and your SharedCalendar groups. We do not store your iOS calendar data beyond what is needed for the sync feature. You can revoke this access at any time in your device settings.

7. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings within the app. This will delete:

• Your user profile and authentication record.
• All events you have created.
• Your membership in all groups.
• Your sync configurations.
• Your profile photo (if uploaded).

8. Children's Privacy

SharedCalendar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
